The Lake District is the largest and probably the most loved of our National Parks. Breath-taking landscape, mountains, lakes and picturesque market towns it holds something for everyone, no wonder it inspired the work of Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter, John Ruskin, Arthur Ransome and so many of our finest writers and artists.

It is an area rich in cultural heritage and offers many fascinating days out, whether your interest is in Stately Homes and Topiary Garden, Steam Railways or Wild Life you will find it in the Lake District.

There are also many annual events including Cartmel races, Holker flower festival, vintage car rallies, County shows and food festivals to name but a few!!
